It would be lying to say that Cambaj doesn't mean anything.
Strangely I used to answer this when I was asked the question at the beginning, but the truth is actually quite the opposite .
Behind Cambaj is the combination of the initial of 4 generations of women in my family.
The one I grew up looking at and admiring, the ones who shaped me, nurtured me, loved me, taught me to be a girl and later a woman, what it was, what it meant, to them and what it could be for me.
It’s also the one I lived side by side and the one I am now learning how to raise.
So Cambaj means my legacy and a rite of passage , if you will.
My grand mothers, my mother, my sister, my friends, my daughter, all of us.
But you can't talk about legacy, without thinking of what will last, what will remain when you won't be here anymore.
What do I want to transmit? I want to make sure I will transmit love and passion and a world where my daughter could still live breathing and enjoying all its beauty.
Now don't get me wrong, I know that making panties is not going to save the world, but making them differently and respectfully of our environment might as well open some minds.
